Found Object Art

High School Art I watched the Documentary "Waste Land" which introduced the students to artist Vik Muniz who used recyclables in his art. Then we talked about the artist Louise Nevelson who created wall pieces and sculptures out of found objects. We combined these two concepts and are working on pieces that are inspired by both of these artists. The students are still in the process of creating their works, but I'm very excited to show you the finished product once they're completed! Here they are in the construction process:
