High School students studied and critqued surrealist paintings. They then created a collage of magazine images to use as the basis for their own surrealist work of art. After the collage was complete, they drew it on another paper, then were allowed to use either paint or colored pencil to add color. Students then had a class critique in which they discussed each other's work.
